The arrival of a new foal is cause for celebration. This little colt came a few days earlier than expected and so was a surprise to us when we awoke one morning to find he and his Dam happily feeding in the maternity paddock. He is out of one of our most successful Connemara mares, Glenormiston Fintra, who is a multi-supreme winner in the show ring, and much awarded dressage and showjumping pony for my son Lachlan (before he grew too tall). Lachlan had naming rights and called the colt Arden Fable. Fable comes from great jumping lines, being a grandson of Domo Cavallo Praize, through his sire Arden Proclaim. Although Fable was born chestnut, he is greying out very quickly, already sporting a white coat under his chestnut foal hair. He is cute, quiet and showing all the inquisitive courage that makes foaling time such fun.
